International singer-songwriter Mileo has released a song he penned and produced from his family home in Newcastle.
The song, aptly named Isolate, comes at a time that Mileo should be in a Los Angeles studio recording with producers and writers who have worked with the artists like Selena Gomez, Dua Lipa, Britney Spears and David Guetta. But instead of focusing on the negative, Mileo put his mind to what he does best.
Described as “a cheeky homage to the current lockdown” Mileo says he decided to release the song officially after an overwhelmingly positive reaction from his social media followers.
“I put a poll to my Instagram followers asking if I should write about being in lockdown and everyone said yes. Then I posted a couple of snippets and got swamped by DMs asking me to put it out,”
Mileo signed with Sony Music Entertainment in early 2013, where he released three singles including the viral hit, Know You Better. Now with Universal, Mileo intends to weather the current situation and focus on a reschedule of his recording sessions in America and investigate collaborative opportunities with other artists.
