The underrated stars of the Japanese food scene in Newcastle will also be cooking up Japanese cultural favourites in the lead-up to Halloween.

This week the team will celebrate Hayao Miyazaki’s cinema masterpiece, Spirited Away. They’ll be slinging some tasty onigiri inspired by the film complete with decorations around the restaurant and maybe even a little cosplay.

The month will round out with dishes inspired by Shōnen Jump favourite Once Piece, a bunch of Japanese cultural favourites, and culminate in the staff all wearing zombi outfits for Halloween on the 31st of October.
