Hunter Valley Gardens are taking things to the next level with their ROARsome Mega Creatures during the April school holidays.
Visitors will be greeted by dinosaurs wandering through the Gardens as a flying Pterosaur taking soars overhead.
There’s a 3 metre tall Woolly Mammoth and a family of gigantic, crawling insects!
And from the moment you step into Dino Land, you’ll come face-to-face with life-sized mega creatures including a friendly T-Rex, Stegosaurus and a benevolent Triceratops.
The Ferris Wheel, towering 25-metres above the gardens, will also offer you the chance to see the dinosaurs from above. Ride tokens can also get you on the Swing Chair, Superslide and The Carousel.
“We are thrilled to be inviting children and families back to Mega Creatures this year, with a fantastic interactive display of animatronic animals and prehistoric beasts,” Amanda Andrews, Event Manager at Hunter Valley Gardens, said.
The Mega Creatures Night Safari takes over the garden as the sun sets.
Every evening of the event a colony of fire-breathing dragons will make camp around an erupting volcano and an illuminated Spider Ally will taunt Arachnophobes with its monster spiders.
“Whether you’re coming during the day or at night, this is the perfect day out for everyone during the school holidays.”
Mega Creatures will be open every day from 9 am until 4 pm from 2 April until 1 May. The Mega Creatures Night Safari with be open every night from 5:30 pm until 10 pm. Visit huntervalleygardens.com.au to find out more.
