Macca’s are slinging free coffees in Newcastle next week

Maccas will be hitting the road next week in Newcastle slinging free coffees as part of their Great Australiano Roadshow.

Novocastrians will have the chance to try out a new, limited release, signature coffee called the Australiano from 7:00 am until 1:00 pm at various spots around the city.

The McCafé coffee van will hit Bar Beach Carpark on Wednesday 15 June, Dixon Park Beach on Thursday 16 June and Nobby’s Beach on Friday 17 June.

“We are excited to give Aussie coffee lovers a brew they can proudly put their name to,” said Lancy Huynh, Group Brand Manager at McDonald’s Australia.

“Our expert baristas looked no further than our own backyard for a defining Aussie ingredient – native wattleseed – to create a deliciously unique coffee.”

Having launched on the 25th of May for a limited time only, McCafe baristas say the Australiano is super versatile and can be served hot or iced.

“Despite being a nation of coffee connoisseurs, we don’t have a coffee to call our own,” Lancy said.

“As a champion for Aussie coffee culture, McCafé wanted to right this wrong and craft a blend that Aussies can proudly put their name to.”

If you can’t make it to the McCafé coffee van, you can try out the Australiano in all McCafé restaurants nationwide, via the MyMacca’s App and McDelivery right now for a limited time only.
