Marty Worrall to play Judas

The National Theatre Company based in Lambton has announce the role of Judas in it’s upcoming production of Jesus Christ Superstar will be played by local favourite Marty Worrall.

For the uninitiated, Marty is an Australian music industry identity who burst into our home during the 2004 Network Ten Series of Australian Idol and again as a backing vocalist on the 9 Network smash hit The Voice.

Marty’s Stage lead roles include The Cars That Ate Paris, Tick Tick Boom! , Rent and The Wild Party. Marty is said to be looking forward to sinking his teeth into the role of Judas Iscariot who is infamously known for his kiss and betrayal of Jesus to the hands of the chief priests in exchange for a payment of thirty silver coins.
