Newcastle Live has partnered with disability service provider, Mai-Wel, to host a Trivia Night in July. The funds raised will be allocated to the upgrade and development of Mai-Wel’s homes and facilities.
The Mai-Wel Group provides employment services, creative arts, lifestyle and employment support to more than 1400 local people living with a disability or other barriers in our community.
The event will take place at Maitland’s Whistler Bar and Restaurant on Wednesday 28 July.
Our very own Dan Beazley will be doing his best Tony Barber impersonation playing quiz master on the night and promises plenty of fun and games.
Mai-Wel’s CEO, Lynne Graham said the group is excited to be working with local partners to bring this year’s event to life.
“We are so thrilled to have the support of Newcastle Live and The Whistler to bring this event together, raising funds and awareness for Mai-Wel,” Lynne said.
Dan said trivia teams should expect rounds of questions that will test their expertise on music, movies, television, local history, pop culture and general knowledge.
“I’ve had a lot of fun putting the questions together,” Dan said.
“We’ll also play a bunch of games in between rounds and we’ll even do a paper plane competition.”
The Mai-Wel Trivia Night will be held at the Whistler Bar and Restaurant on Wednesday 28 July.
Tickets are just $15 per person which includes snacks for each table. There are great prizes to be won and dinner and drinks can be purchased from the venue on the night.
