A slice of the neon-lit, multisensory Tokyo nightlife is about to hit Newcastle and it going to be absolutely magic.
The Maho Magic Bar, which will sit alongside the Spiegeltent in Civic Park when it rolls into Newcastle later this month, is offering one of the most truly unique and unmissable experiences locals will have the chance to take part in this year.
After taking your seat inside the bar, that will light up Newcastle like a neon-lit happy snap of Shinjuku, and ordering a drink, master magicians, direct from Japan, will perform your very own exclusive magic show right at your table.
An Australian first, Maho Magic Bar sold-out it’s premiere season in Adelaide in 2020 and promises to be unlike any other night you’ll have out in the Hunter this year.
Inside the gorgeously refined bar, you’ll find six spacious performance areas and a menu offering bespoke cocktails, whiskey, shochu, umeshu and sake served in a traditional masu sake cedar box.
The Maho Magic Bar will hit Newcastle like a Nozomi Shinkansen with The Spiegeltent on 31 March and wow locals until 23 April 2022.

Jonio (Tokyo)
The international star of America’s Got Talent and Penn & Teller: Fool Us, Jonio is also one of Japan’s most awarded magicians. The geek of the gang, everything he touches turns to gold, even his beard . . . he has a weird beard!
Johnny (Melbourne)
Debonair ringmaster extraordinaire, Johnny’s quick-wit comedy, creative genius and unconventional props have seen him described as the Willy Wonka of magic.
