If your idea of a food utopia is stacking as much cheese as humanly possible into a burger, well your culinary prayers may’ve been answered.
That’s because those burger boffins over at McDonald’s HQ have just unleashed a new range of burgers STUFFED with cheesy goodness in the form of a fried mozzarella patty.
Yep, you read right. Macca’s new Cheesy range features a Cheesy Beef Burger and a Cheese Chicken Burger each featuring a beef or chicken pattie, tomato chilli jam, lettuce, mayo, the classic Macca’s cheese and a crumbed and fried golden brown disc of gooey goodness.
Be still my palpitating heart!
If that wasn’t enough, the burger giant has also seen fit to bring back their popular mozzarella sticks in the overt homage to the fromage.
“We know there are a lot of cheese fans out there, and the newest burgers on our menu are a cheesy twist on some of our customers’ Macca’s favourites,” McDonald’s Australia marketing director Jo Feeney said.
“Our cheese patty is the perfect combination of melty cheeses including parmesan, cheddar and mozzarella, made from 100 per cent Australian milk.”
These stringy sensations are on sale from today but you’re going to have to get in quick as they’re only sticking around for a limited time.
