Local monthly Art & Culture Zine, Newcastle Mirage are making a Special Calendar in celebration of two years in the publishing game. With help from you, and crowd funding platform Pozible, the publishers hope to raise $2000 to complete the project.
Newcastle Mirage considers itself unique because it is not owned by, or a subsidiary of, another bigger print or media company. The zine is the brainchild of two like-minded creatives, Ryan Williams and Kian West, and has purely been a labour of their love since the first print edition back in May 2013.
Newcastle Mirage is fueled by a simple but passionate ethos – to support and celebrate Novocastrians, with a focus on positive and supportive pieces about locals that are making an effort to make the community a better place.
By assisting Newcastle Mirage with their crowd funding campaign, you will be helping to create a 2016 calendar for all their supporters as well as assist in the printing of Mirage throughout 2016.
There are a number of “rewards” available to those that pledge including copies of the calendar, 12 month subscriptions and T-Shirts.
