Local school teacher, Kate Vorias was devastated to see the impact the Lismore flood had on the local community.
Kate has started a Gofundme page with the goal of delivering 1000 packages to people affected by the flood in Lismore.
“They need any support they can get,” Kate said on her campaign outline.
“Not one store has food supplies; there is no petrol, peoples’ belongings have been destroyed and swept away.”
Kate says she will use the funds raised to create survival packages for as many people as she can and deliver them personally on the 11th of March.
Any additional funds raised during her campaign will be given to the supporting charities as well as the SES.
People who donate will be able to keep up to date with how the campaign is being rolled out with Kate promising to post images of the packages as they are made and of their distribution to people on the ground when Kate arrives in Lismore.
