Local lockdown treats to get you through the weekend

Are we there yet?

While we can all start to see the light at the end of the lockdown tunnel, as we sit here on Friday afternoon we’re staring down the barrel of yet another stay at home weekend.

So here’s our guide to taking it to the next level!

If there’s one thing your lockdown weekend needs it’s a boozy brunch.

The full slap-up breakfast with all the trimmings and a cheeky alcoholic beverage to punctuate the festivities from Neighbours on Market is the perfect way to start your day after one of those long lockdown sleep-ins you’ve been having.

Lambton Park Hotel‘s Salt ‘n’ Seltzer popup takeaway event is happening this Saturday.

If you didn’t get your pre-order in you may get lucky and snag some of the extra oysters and seltzer’s they’re seeing up from their temporary takeaway bar on Morehead street in Lambton.

The taste of overseas travel is still some time away, but that doesn’t mean your belly can’t make the trip.

Nagisa Restaurant‘s delicious Japanese food can be delivered directly to your door or you can visit them at Honeysuckle and pickup!

Beat the lockdown blues with some local takeaway booze!

There are heaps of bars around town that are offering delivery and takeaway of delectable cocktails and, something we’ve all been missing, drought beer fresh off the tap.

There are some great virtual events happening this weekend.

You can find some in the gig and event guide, but our tip is to lock in the live stream local muso Emily A Smith will be doing live from Rogue Scholar Brewing
