Prominent local journalist and author Greg Ray, who has published a number of popular local history books with wife Sylvia, will be hosting ‘The Newy Quiz’ over 2 nights in November.

The Newy Quiz will cover topics of all things Novocastrian, from history and famous events and people to local landmarks and even photographs. The quiz will be over 3 rounds each night with bonus questions and there will be prizes including drinks, vouchers and cash.
The 5 Sawyers’ story is steeped in tales from Newcastle’s past and the venue’s atmosphere draws from a unique blend of history and eclectic art. This setting makes it the perfect home for ‘The Newy Quiz’.
There will even be prizes for the best caption to some funny photos – all judged on the night. Dinner will be available from 6pm and the Quiz starts at 8pm.
