No stranger to public attention, last night, Eleebana teenager Codi Kaye showed Australia she was ‘more than just a YouTuber’ as she progressed through to the next round on the Channel 7 talent search.
Taking to the X Factor stage in front of judges Natalie Basingthwaite, Ronan Keating, Redfoo, and Dannii Minogue, Codi wowed the studio audience and impressed the judges with her performance of Carrie Underwood’s song Before He Cheats.
Codi has been developing her craft by making YouTube videos, most notably her original song, I’m Losing Myself which has attracted over 200,000 views on the popular video-sharing site.
Codi told Georgina Mitchell from the Newcastle Herald.
“What the judges had to say, their reactions, their faces while I was singing really boosted me up as I was going along, just seeing them looking not disappointed, it was good”.
