Local Band You Should Be Listening To This Week?: Loose Leaf IV

Man I think I found the perfect sound to track your morning walk as you say a huge good riddance to winter and a huge hello to spring. Loose Leaf IV are a delightfully groovy, laid back, breezy five piece and they’ve definitely caught my attention.

As a fairly new entrant to the local band circuit, it’s nice to see a Newcastle band tread some new waters and fade away from the norm to produce something different. And something bloody good I might add.

As well as a bunch of really fine covers, including their phenomenal rendition of Childish Gambino’s ‘Redbone’, are some tidy originals which I am now hanging to see live. ‘Worth it’ in particular is one of those tracks that will ease you into any afternoon or summer Sunday sesh, and you can thank me later for it finding your ears.

So sit back, relax, and take in all that is Loose Leaf IV and make sure you keep an eye on their socials so you can catch them doing their thing live and large and in the flesh.
