Local muso, writer, artist, prankster and digital creative, Gerant Kenneth set himself a challenge for 2015. The challenge was to write and record a new song, complete witha video clip, every week. The resulting (and ongoing) body of work is both impressive and entertaining, with a good dose of oddball thrown in for good measure.
The latest song/video in the series, Weak Ends is a perfect example of what you’ll find as you make your way through the video series. It’s funny, entertaining, insightful and truly Novocastrian.
Another of our favourites is NSFW. A short, offensive and loud punk number.
This one is a great documentation of the aftermath of the recent storms.
And we couldn’t do a post on this video series without mentioning Dear Drink.
Gerant has an impressive and prolific presence online. You can check out his website here, listen to his recordings on Soundcloud, follow him on twitter or be entertained and shocked by his tumblr blog.
