LIVE AT THE FORESHORE: It’s about more than the music

In the 1980’s, Newcastle was woven together with a solid live rock music scene and sun drenched weekends at the beach. In recent years the culinary revolution added to that fabric. Our streets and alley way filled with hole in the wall speakeasies and small niche restaurants where everything is about quality and their own sense of style. No wonder we were voted one of Lonely Planets top 10 cities in the world. Finally all those elements will converging in one place when LIVE AT THE FORESHORE  bring your best music memories to Camp Shortland this Sunday, November 1.

7 iconic acts will make up an Aussie rock invasion, storming one of Newcastle most popular beaches. The line up includes James Reyne, Baby Animals, Mark Seymour and the undertow, Shannon Noll, Moving Pictures, Choirboys and Monsters of Rock featuring members of Screaming Jets and Rose Tattoo.

It’s more than just the music. Live at the Foreshore has been specifically designed to bring the best of Newcastle together in one sensational place next to one of the countries most spectacular beaches.

Celebrity chef and owner of one of Newcastle best live music venues, Brian Lizotte, it setting up a pop up version of the Lizotte’s at the festival. The perfect place to come chill out under cover and have a coffee, a pastry or some of Brian’s famous Wattle Seed Chicken Salad. You can also find out how to go into the draw for the Lizotte’s Royal Ticket while you’re there, Giving one lucky punter a chance to see one show a month at Lizottes for the whole of 2016.


Right beside them will be beautiful quality stalls thanks to Hunt and Gather Markets. The perfect excuse to come wander around between the trees. For those wanting to throw their inhibitions to the wind, we have you totally covered. Two of the countries best Drag performers Jimay Falcon & Sha Gazey will be hosting the game show stage designed to get you out of your comfort zone and possibly into someone else’s clothes. We have  everything from Porridge and Slaw massages, to a body paint whipping and a colour run that is bond to be the bright spot in your day.


The culinary revolution continues with a huge selection of the best food trucks and some great craft beer on offer including Murrays Brewery, Stone and Wood and Young Henrys. Those lucky enough to have grabbed VIP tickets will be looked after in the tent by Celebrity Chef Andy Allen with mouth watering dishes on the menu like Twice cooked lamb shoulder with baba ganoush, peal cous cous and chimichurri.
