Lime Cordiale to play special gig in honour of Newcastle High School student

Sydney band Lime Cordiale will play a special gig in honour of Newcastle High School student Isaac Lourie, who died water-skiing last summer holidays, before their gig at The Cambridge Hotel on Friday, 23 November.

Isaac was a keen guitarist and fan of the band Lime Cordiale, whose music has become a touchstone for his peers to remember him by.

Principal Nathan Towney said the memory of Isaac’s spirit and zest for life has been a great comfort for his friends in their HSC year.

“Obviously it’s been tough, but Isaac was such a positive person, and his family have been so generous in sharing his memory, that the school community have gained strength from his example,” said Mr Towney.

“Having his favourite band play at the school and meet Isaacs friends will reinforce that, and we thank them wholeheartedly for their support.”
