The Royal Australian Mint will celebrate the 45th anniversary of the AC/DC album Let There Be Rock with the release of the second coin in their AC/DC collection trilogy.

Shaped like a mini vinyl record, each 20-cent coin in the limited edition set comes packaged in a mini vinyl sleeve inside a mini roadie box.

In 2023 another four coins will be released to celebrate the anniversaries of Powerage (1978), Flick of the Switch (1983), Blow Up Your Video and Black Ice (2008).

The coins will also be one of the final releases in 2023 to feature Queen Elizabeth IIโ€™s effigy.

“Known for their raw and electrifying energy, itโ€™s no secret AC/DC has made a mark on music fans across the globe,” Royal Australian Mintโ€™s CEO, Leigh Gordon, said.

“The Mint is thrilled to celebrate not one but six massive milestones from one of the worldโ€™s most recognised bands. What better way to celebrate these anniversaries than with limited edition AC/DC coins that every AC/DC fan needs in their collection.”

The limited edition coins can be purchased from the Mintโ€™s online store at eshop.ramint.gov.au.
