Belinda Carlisle has announced that she has been forced to postpone her Australian tour, which included a date at the Civic Theatre later this month.
This is the third time the ’80s star has been forced to postpone the long-awaited tour dates. The sold-out, show in Newcastle will now happen in late 2024.
The postponement comes after an accident that means the American songstress will have to undergo emergency surgery.
“This is a video I did not want to make,” Belinda said in a video posted to her social media accounts.
“As you know I was meant to be going to Australia next week for a tour that has been postponed three times. I had an accident and I damaged my knee and I have to have emergency surgery tomorrow.
“This is going to prevent me from coming to Australia this time. I’m really embarrassed. I hope it will be rescheduled for 2024 if you’ll have me. I wasn’t expecting this at all. It is just bad luck.”
Belinda Carlisle will now bring her Decades tour to Newcastle on Tuesday 24 September 2024. Visit abstract.net.au to find out more.
