Belinda Carlisle has announced that she has been forced to postpone her Australian tour, which included a date at the Civic Theatre later this month.
This is the third time the ’80s star has been forced to postpone the long-awaited tour dates. The sold-out, show in Newcastle will now happen in late 2024.
The postponement comes after an accident that means the American songstress will have to undergo emergency surgery.
โThis is a video I did not want to make,” Belinda said in a video posted to her social media accounts.
“As you know I was meant to be going to Australia next week for a tour that has been postponed three times. I had an accident and I damaged my knee and I have to have emergency surgery tomorrow.
“This is going to prevent me from coming to Australia this time. Iโm really embarrassed. I hope it will be rescheduled for 2024 if youโll have me. I wasnโt expecting this at all. It is just bad luck.”
Belinda Carlisle will now bring her Decades tour to Newcastle on Tuesday 24 September 2024. Visit abstract.net.au to find out more.
