When Lake Macquarie Council talks about the night time economy, they mean more than just pubs and clubs. And that’s the main driver behind the council’s development of a Night Time Economy Strategy for the city.
As part of the process, they are now calling on residents of Lake Macquarie to share their ideas on how to create a thriving night-time economy.
HOW TO GET INVOLVED
A recent report produced by the Council of Capital City Lord Mayors identified the Night Time Economy in Australia as a significant contributor to the country’s economy, employing more than three million people and generating almost $715 billion in turnover in 2017.
The council want to hear what you’ve got to say about a range of activities you can participate in from early evening to late at night. That could include sport and exercise, attending night time markets or events, going to the movies, watching a live band, late-night shopping, and everything in between.
