Newcastle’s entertainment calendar just got a whole lot more dazzling with the arrival of LASSÙ Cosmic Cabaret Saloon, now open at Richardson Park.
This immersive spectacle of circus, cabaret, and risqué storytelling takes audiences to the far reaches of the galaxy—with a cast of world-class performers, it’s a feast for the senses that blends traditional circus with a bold, modern edge.
Led by the unforgettable Rodeo Clown Rusty, the show is a journey through the golden age of LASSÙ, a saloon once brimming with interstellar glamour and gravity-defying acts.
Now, Rusty is determined to revive its former magic, taking audiences along for a ride full of comedy, acrobatics, and sensual spectacle.
The intimate venue puts audiences right in the action, close enough to feel every movement and marvel at every muscle as the performers push physical limits. The vibe is electric, the story is captivating, and the whole thing is served up with just the right amount of cheek.
Behind this cosmic production is Merrik Ashton, a seventh-generation circus performer with a lifetime in the spotlight and a clear vision for the future of live performance.
Working alongside creative director Mitchell Woodcock, Ashton has brought to life a show that’s equal parts nostalgic and trailblazing—offering jaw-dropping stunts, sultry choreography, and laugh-out-loud clowning, all within a vivid narrative framework.
