LAKE MAC STEAM: A week of creativity, innovation and uniqueness

A week-long program of inspiring learning experiences centred around science, technology, engineering, art and math is about to hit Lake Macquarie.

Held every year in conjunction with National Science Week, Lake Mac STEAM celebrates and promotes creativity, innovation and uniqueness.

This year the theme for National Science Week is Glass: More than meets the eye, and coincides with the United Nation’s International Year of Glass.

The theme, and many of the events planned for Lake Mac STEAM, will celebrate the roles that glass plays in our everyday lives and investigate glass as a part of our sustainable future – from phone screens to optical fibre to glassware in labs.
