To celebrate the new release of their new single, The Kite String Tangle will head out on a series of headline shows this August and September, and a Newcastle show is on the list.
Following the breakout success of debut single ‘Given The Chance’, The Kite String Tangle – the solo project of indie electronic artist and Pigeon frontman Danny Harley – has released the first taste of Vessel, in the form of ‘Arcadia’, an exploration of love and loss as well as Harley’s textured soundscapes.
“‘Arcadia’ represents an unattainable ideal that we all create in certain situations,” he says. “In this case, it focuses on a post-relationship situation where you want to go back to that comfortable space that the relationship represented, but things have changed and that place doesn’t exist anymore. It doesn’t stop us from striving for it even though it might be out of reach.”
Vessel, which will feature both ‘Arcadia’ and ‘Given The Chance’, will be released on Friday, 8th August. Those who pre-order the EP through iTunes from Friday, 27th June 27 will be rewarded with an Instant Grat download of the new single.
The Kite String Tangle Australian Tour 2014 and EP continues the marked success of the indie producer, who has already undertaken two sold-out tours of the country, a series of local festival appearances, a trip to the US’s SXSW and Coachella music festivals, and breaking 1 million streams of ‘Given The Chance’ on Soundcloud.
Tickets for The Kite String Tangle Australian Tour 2014 will go on sale to the general public on Friday, June 27. There is a special Member’s Pre-Sale option for selected shows for those who sign up to The Kite String Tangle’s mailing list ahead of the June 26 Member’s Pre-Sale date.
