King Single Drops ‘Bay’

Warmer weather, blue skies, endless opportunities and of course, lost more room for new music. Hello summer (kind of). The music I love the most, always manages to wrap some pretty deep and dark lyrics in some wonderfully colourful sounds.  Locally, no one does this better than King Single. Thankfully, he (sneakily) dropped another new track last week for us to feast our ears on and it’s everything I could have hoped for and more.

King Single aka Robert Nedeljkovic is both a fiercely talented musician and a down right delightful human. A soft spoken local, his music is always bright, tropical, and always offers our ears just something a little different.

‘Bay’ purposefully mashes a whole heap of sounds and genres together, sliding gleefully into your ears like a pina colada on a tropical Sunday evening. Even though the lyrics are a little on the dark side, Bay is actually a really great self reflection and comments on the nature of the way we see ourselves in a relationship, opening with the line; It’s hard to think I’m worth a shot/when I’m inadequately dressed to be a better half/no matter my stance I’m always punching up.

I love that line, I also love this song and I adore King Single.
