Fried chicken masters KFC have made the decision to suspend all dine-in options at their fast-food restaurants here in Australia. But fear not local bird lovers, drive-thru, pick up and delivery options are still available.
In this post, we’ll give you some tips on how to make the most out of your fried delivered goodness whilst you’re self-isolating over the coming months.
No one likes a soggy box after all.
BURGERS ARE YOUR BEST FRIEND
No one enjoys soggy, glossy fried chicken. So we’re recommending you head straight to the burger menu to avoid disappointment.
Twisters are also a good option here. They generally travel much better than your family bucket and it’s flatbread with fruit (tomato) and vegetables (lettuce)…
That’s healthy, right?
DO YOU REALLY NEED FRIES WITH THAT?
If there’s one thing that doesn’t go well when transported in a plastic bag it’s the good old hot chip.
We suggest swapping your chips out for the humble, wholesome, comforting potato and gravy. You know you absolutely love this stuff and (#protip) you can totally dip your burger bun into it – trust us.
While they’re the lesser-acknowledged KFC side, these things are dope! Soft, sweet little bundles of goodness that can also be used to get every last drop out of that potato and gravy container.
And if you can’t buy bread in the supermarket, you can always save them to make your lunch the next day.
DON’T FORGET DESSERT
No cheat meal is complete without a little sweet treat and our friend and yours Colonel Sanders has got you covered with one of our favourite menu items.
There’s nothing better than kicking back on the couch after a satisfying KFC feed and settling into a little sugar coma courtesy of a container of creamy chocolate mousse.
