DOUBLE BREADED: The Colonel unveils new KFC Crispy Burger range

KFC has taken the iconic peanut butter and jam sandwich to new heights of indulgence as part of a promotion for their new Original Crispy Burger range.

The Colonel will be serving up the deep-fried Elvis favourite this Friday and Saturday in Darlinghurst at a pop-up they’re calling The Original Crispery.

“To mark the launch of our new series of Original Crispy Burgers, it was only appropriate to create an emporium of all things crispy,” CMO at KFC Australia, Tami Cunningham said.

“The Original Crispery’ promises to be an avalanche on the senses. It will include an exhibition of crispy curiosities, as well as a selection of KFC-ified products, where our talented chefs will put our double breading craft to the test across a range of unexpected yet craveable treats for all fans to taste.”

Cheesecake, broccolini and asparagus will also get the KFC’s double-breaded treatment at the pop-up this weekend.

And while you’ll need to head to the pop-up in Sydney to try these off-menu items the new Original Crispy Burger range will be available as permanent additions to KFC menu in the Hunter from today.

Original Crispy Burger

The new series of burgers includes an Original Crispy, The Original Crispy Cheese and Bacon and The Original Crispy Stacker.

Each of the burgers will feature an Original Crispy chicken fillet that has been plunged into breading, not once, but twice, to ensure a mighty crunch with every bite.
