When it comes to Australian guitarists who possess more chops than a butcher shop window, Kevin Borich would have to be pretty close to the top of the list.
Well, good news, Newy guitar aficionados because the Kevin Borich Express will be delivering what promises to be a blistering set at the Stag this month.
Penning hits such as Gonna See My Baby Tonight and No Turning Back, Kevin Borich is a founding member of New Zealand’s hit band the La De Da’s, The Kevin Borich Express and Australia’s legendary The Party Boys.
He has recorded on and released over 20 albums with major labels and independently and has performed countless thousands of live shows during his career.
Borich continually writes, records and releases new music keeping his live performance fresh all the while smashing out the hits.
Lauded rock music historian, Ian McFarlane describes Kevin thusly: “One of the most celebrated guitar players in the history of Australian rock. He also remains an underrated songwriter as his live reputation has rarely been reflected his record sales.”
If you’re keen to check out a true icon of the genre, you’d do well to get along to the Stag and Hunter on Friday 20 December. Get your tickets here.
