After runaway success in Port Stephens Street, Food Social event will be oloing the food truck convoy into Edgeworth this week!
The food frivolity will take place in brush Creek, Edgeworth’s newest residential community on Friday 20 September from 4pm to 8pm.
Street Food Social has been operating within the Port Stephens area since January and is run by Tree and Dragon, the same company responsible for the success of Sacred Tree Markets, a tightly curated and highly visited retail event on the Nelson Bay waterfront.
When Sacred Tree Markets Director noticed the demand for high-quality street food on offer at the markets, the Street Food Social concept was born.
The event was trialed within small regional towns in the Port Stephens community and over 2000 people attending each of the trial and subsequent events.
“For us, it’s about taking some of the region’s favourite foodies and teaming them up with some great musicians and entertainers”, Street Food Social’s Jessica Rowarth said.
“We really want everyone to have a good time and we are really excited about bringing the event to the Lake Macquarie community for the first time.”
With big-name Hunter favourites including Bao Brothers, Harry’s Schnitzel Joint, The Craft Pit, Choux and Forage Espresso leading the convoy, the event will also feature street performance and a fire show by Newcastle legend Hannah Indigo, kids entertainment and live music.
The Street Food Social will be on at Brush Creek, Edgeworth on Friday 20 September from 4pm.
