The Newcastle Jets are gearing up for their first home game of the new season that will see both the men’s and women’s teams face off against their rivals, the Western Sydney Wanderers, at McDonald Jones Stadium.
With the recent success of the Women’s World Cup, game attendance is soaring, and Sydney teams have been hosting record crowds.
The Newcastle Jets are eager to set a new A-League Women’s home crowd record and invite fans to support their athletes as they embark on their 2023-24 season campaign.
Captain Cassidy Davis will also make history at this game by becoming the Jets’ A-League Women’s player with the most matches played.
Fans can also look forward to match day giveaways, free kids’ entertainment, and collectible trading cards.
After the men’s game, players will be available for autographs on the family hill, where you’ll find inflatables, an ice cream truck, and the beloved Jets mascots, Maverick and Star. And after the women’s game, both kids and the young-at-heart can take to the field for post-match festivities.
The showdown between the Newcastle Jets and the Western Sydney Wanderers is happening on 5 November 5th at McDonald Jones Stadium. The A-League Men’s match kicks off at 3 pm, followed by the Women’s game at 5:45 pm. Visit ticketmaster.com.au for tickets.
