Nine Novocastrians have fought against a cyclone, freezing weather, flooding, bogged support vehicles, sunburn, and blisters to walk for 22 days across 440 kilometres of the Simpson Desert as they raised much-needed funds for Jenny’s Place who are assisting women and children escaping domestic violence and at risk of homelessness.
