Local director, Matthew Walker’s new documentary, I’m Wanita, is the story of a renegade country music singer from Tamworth, Wanita Bahtiyar.
The film, which will screen at a special Q&A with Matthew on 10 February at Reading Cinemas in Charlestown, follows Wanita, Australia’s ‘Queen of Honky Tonk’, to the country music Mecca of Nashville to record an album.
Matthew dropped into Newcastle Live Radio to chat with Newcastle in the Morning and The Good Stuff.
