Four events, scheduled to run at Hope Estate from September to November this year, have been pushed back to 2021 in the wake of the current COVOD-19 situation in Melbourne and Sydney.
Taking to Facebook on Monday night, the Hunter Valley venue announced that the upcoming Big ’80s Party, the Hunter Valley Cheese and Chocolate Festival, Jazz in the Vineyards, and the Hunter Valley Beer & BBQ Festival would no longer be running on their original 2020 dates.
“We have sad news.,” the Facebook post read.
“Due to the changing situation with COVID-19 and an increasing number of cases in Melbourne & Sydney, we have taken advice from officials and will postpone the below events until 2021.
“We wanted so much to support our local economy, independent Vendors and host all of our valued patrons, but the health & safety of our staff & community are the main priority at this time.”

Big ’80s Party – Saturday 8 May 2021 (original date Saturday 19 September 2020)
Hunter Valley Cheese & Chocolate Festival – Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 July 2021 (original dates Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 October 2020)
Jazz in the Vineyards – Saturday 10 April 2021 (original date Saturday 31 October 2020)
Hunter Valley Beer & BBQ Festival – Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 August 2021 (original dates Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 August 2020)
