HOG WATTS: 48 Watt Street’s wizarding spectacular returns

It’s been a while since Hog Watts welcomed the Hunter’s wizarding fans to 48 Watt Street for its immersive school of witchcraft and wizardry experience.

Well, the wait is finally over. Hog Watts will return this September for two weeks of butter beer swilling and pottered frivolity.

This year, the team behind one of Newcastle’s most anticipated events are taking the experience to new places with trivia nights, cocktail and potion-making classes, murder mysteries and even bottomless brunches.

The traditional experiences are still front and centre for those who have missed it before or just can’t get enough with both dinner and lunch session tickets available.

Lunchtime events are great for family groups with kid-friendly menus and the nighttime sessions are a great escape complete with butterbeer and themed cocktails.

Tickets range from $70 to $120, with VIP packages for the dinner experience setting you back $160.

Hog Watts 2022 will kick off at 48 Watt Street on 31 August and run through until 11 September. Check out the lineup of events below and visit 48wattstreet.com.au for more info.

The traditional Hog Watts Immersive Dinner Experience in the Main Hall of the old Watt Street church throws open the doors for an evening of theatrical parody, fun and laughter with a two-course main and dessert feast. VIP packages that include a welcome Cocktail or Mocktail, an additional course, a seat right up the front, a take-home souvenir mug, a photo booth and meet with the characters!

Pretty much the same as above but family-friendly. Complete with kid-friendly meals too!

One of the new additions to Hog Watts season is a trivia night hosted by your favourite wizarding world characters and includes a shared feast dinner.
