Newcastle has been going burger crazy of late in anticipation Bondi-born burger bar Milky Lane opening its doors in Newcastle.
Well, that anticipation is reaching fever pitch with Milky Lane offering a sneak peek into the look of their new store.
Taking to Facebook, they shared two pics offering a glimpse into the hip-hop heavy murals that will adorn the walls.
One pic showed a fantastic rendition of Notorious B.I.G while the other featured likenesses of fellow iconic rappers Snoop Dogg and 50 Cent.
One eagle-eyed burger hound pointed out that the structure that sits behind “Biggie” looked suspiciously like the iconic Newcastle “penis tower” in a possible nod to our fair city.
The second image also featured a not-so-subtle nostalgia nod to Newy with logos fro Fannys and The Palais Royale featuring in the background.
Milky Lane started life in Bondi before spreading their wings to Crows Nest, Coogee, Parramatta, Kings Cross, Cronulla and Surfer’s Paradise.
Now they will throw open their doors at 13-15 Darby Street on Wednesday 24 July.
