Gum Ball is back for 2021 with a bumper line up!

After being forced to combine with sister event Dashville Skyline in 2020, the massively popular Gum Ball is coming back with a vengeance in 2021.

The boffins over at Dashville HQ have today released the lineup for the fest which will run from Friday 16 to Sunday 18 April and do say it’s a doozy would be an understatement.

Leading the charge this year is Melbourne guitar wrangler Harts who will be channelling legendary fret freak Jimi Hendrix with Harts plays Hendrix, cruisy roots legends The Beautiful Girls, the jaw-droppingly talented iOTA and indie rock mainstays Even.

If that wasn’t enough to whet your appetite, what about the soulful Emma Donovan & The Putbacks or the no-holds barred rock of Cash Savage and the Last Drinks , the ear-wormy synth pop of Cousin Tony’s Brand New Firebird, the surf rock vibes of King Stingray, or Australiana folk icon Buddy Dingo?

Fans of local tunes are well catered for, too with the likes of Lachlan X Morris, Melody Pool, Dave Wells, Johnston City, Jones The Cat, and the ubiquitous Dashville Progress Society also joining the party.

The above is a mere smattering of the top tier talent you can expect over the three days. Just check out the full line-up below.

Held amongst the idyllic bushland of the Hunter Valley, this family-friendly cultural jamboree has survived many hurdles over the years. While a pandemic is a new assault, organisers are confident that despite a reduced capacity in 2021, the festival will be a positive return to days of old.

In 2021, the Gum Ball continues to connect community and culture, with a distinct homage to the traditional owners of the land, the Wonnarua, featured through a one-off artwork by local Indigenous artist Debbie Becker.
