New date for Grapevine Gathering fest revealed

Were you crestfallen at the news, last week, that the planned October Grapevine Gathering fest at Roche Estate had been scuttled?

Well, never fear because the anticipated celebration of tunes and tipples IS going ahead, you’ll just have to wait a little longer.

The festival will now take place on Saturday 15 January at the Pokolbin winery, making it a great way to kick off a (hopefully) much less restrictive 2022.

And the best part is, if the lineup for the canned 2021 iteration filled you with all sorts of gig-related glee, the rescheduled date also brings with it exactly the same musical bill of fare.

And when you’ve got the likes of sisterly pop duo The Veronicas, dance floor fillers Peking Duk, and electro-pop powerhouse Vera Blue leading the charge, it’s pretty much a free-kick that this one is going to be a doozy.

The stacked lineup is rounded out by Brissy indie rockers The Jungle Giants, popsters San Cisco, Melbourne club scene mainstay CC:Disco, East Arnhem Land surf-rock dream team King Stingray, and alt. popsters Rest For The Wicked.

And the whole shebang will be hosted by ex-tradies turned Insta celebs The Inspired Unemployed.

Aside from offering up a slew of awesome talent, Grapevine Gathering also promises to be a gourmand’s delight with everything from wood-fired pizzas and gourmet burgers to slow-cooked, smoked treats on offer.

Self-proclaimed sommeliers will be on cloud wine, too because this fest will be overflowing with the tastiest drops while loves of the amber fluid will be well taken care of with a hefty selection of local brews.
