The first Glendale Farmers and Artisan Market is happening this July

Six months ago we all got a little excited by the news that Stockland Glendale was building a $4 million, 4,300-square-metre shade structure to host weekly Farmers and Artisan Markets.

Well the structure, that will also offer will offer undercover car parking for 160 car bays when there are no markets, is nearing completion and the first market is scheduled for July this year.

Kevin Eade and Jodie Lee, Directors of NSW Farmers Markets, who have successfully operated the Lake Macquarie City Farmers Market at Speers Point Park for the past nine years, say they are thankful to Stockland for their vision.

“A big thank you to Stockland and their future vision for Farmers Markets to pursue a more modern articulate way of integrating within a shopping centre without losing any sense of country or a farmers’ market feel,” Kevin and Jodie said on Facebook.

“NSW Farmers & Artisan Market Pty Ltd look forward to establish a food haven with local producers in a facility designed for farmers.”

The Glendale Farmers and Artisan Market will happen each Saturday rain, hail or shine from 7:00 am until 1:30 pm. The first Glendale Farmers and Artisan Market will be held at Stockland Glendale on the first Saturday in July 2022. Visit glendalecityfarmersmarket.com.au for more information.
