Get ready Newcastle, The Song Cover Challenge is back for 2019!

Does anyone miss the Song Cover Challenge? Well, we do! So we’re pumped to see it back for what promises to be a massive 2019.

Last year, the bar was raised pretty high by Adam Cupitt who took out top honours in both the players and people’s choice categories with his brilliant reimagining of ELO’s Four Little Diamonds.

WHAT IS THE SONG COVER CHALLENGE?

“The Song Cover Challenge invites you to challenge yourself on a level of musical videoership”.

Basically, local musos are invited to nominate a song for other musos participating in the challenge to cover in a video posted to Facebook. Then, in turn, each muso who nominated is given their own song to cover in a Facebook video…. Pretty sure that makes sense.

Anyway, it’s SO much fun and heaps of great covers have come from the concept.

HOW DO YOU GET INVOLVED?

If you’d like to participate just send a private message to the SONG COVER CHALLENGE Facebook page and tell then what song you’d like to hear someone cover.

Also check out the page for more handy info on this nifty challenge!

You’ve got until noon on Monday 24 June to sign up so, what are you waiting for?

Check out some extra examples from last year’s challenge to give you an idea.
