GAME ON: Thirsty Messiah’s epic deal for Knights Fans

If you’re heading to McDonald Jones Stadium to watch the Newcastle Knights take on the Penrith Panthers this Sunday, you’ll want to hear what the folks over at Thirsty Messiah have to offer.

With stacks of free parking out the back of the brewery, located on Lambton Road in Broadmeadow, and only a short walk over the bridge to the stadium, a trip to Thirsty Messiah before and/or after the game is pretty much a no-brainer – It’s seriously the best-kept game-day secret in Newcastle.

And when you couple the parking and the easy walk to the McDonald Jones with their game-day food and beer specials, you’d be dead-set bonkers not to drop in for some pre-game lubrication and a feed.

For the uninitiated, the Thirsty Brew-Pub is a bit of a beer lover’s dream. The venue boasts 40 taps (yes you read that right) serving award-winning beers, brewed on-site by head brewer Thomas Delgatto, and a kitchen that pumps out some seriously good food that actually pairs with the beer-drinking experience.

The other thing you need to know about this place is that you won’t encounter any of that trendy beer snobbery. Founder Thomas, who had never brewed beer commercially before opening the Broadmeadow venue, aims to preserve his home brewer status. And when you visit, it genuinely feels like you’re being welcomed into his home.

This Sunday, before or after the big game, you’ll be able to grab a tasty Pacific Ale, which has been brewed in-house, and a burger or pizza for just $30!

Sink your teeth into one of these bad boys with American mustard, tomato ketchup and house-made dill pickles served alongside some perfectly cooked chips.

If gameday pizza is more your style, you can grab one of Thirsty’s BBQ Chicken Pizzas which is stacked with deliciousness to enjoy alongside your beer.
