MARK WELLS CF BENEFIT CONCERT

You don’t get many shows like this. There was just something special happening on stage during Friday night’s Mark Wells’ Big Band Benefit Concert. And we were lucky enough to be invited to capture it for you.

With a band made up of Newcastle’s music royalty, including Robbie Long, Dave Carter, Jason Bone, Justin Ngariki, Brian Daly and Matt Gaudry, Mark Wells was flawless. Delivering one great song after another, with the adoring audience on their feet dancing around in abandonment.

The event was held to raise funds for Cystic Fibrosis Research. If you couldn’t make the concert, but still want to support Mark’s research fund please consider making a donation here: https://secure.hmri.com.au/donate/mark-wells

At 16 years old, on a balmy May Friday night way back in 1975. I rolled up to the Forestville Youth Centre (The Forrie Bop) tickets were a couple of dollars and the band on the night included the likes of Bon Scott, Angus Young, Malcolm Young, Paul Matters and Phil Rudd, yes ‘ACDC’ all for $2.00, can you believe that.
