He’s known as the “Irish master of grumpiness” and the Oscar Wilde of comedy.
And Dylan Moran is heading back to Australia for a two-month tour that will include a night of laughs in Newcastle.
Performing his highly acclaimed new show Dr Cosmos, Dylan will, once again, offer his acerbic, and unique take on love, politics, misery and the everyday absurdities of life, all served with poetical panache from one of the finest comedians of his generation.
While a master of the mic, Dylan is perhaps known in this country as the writer and star of the hilarious BBC comedy Black Books which followed the madcap misadventures of disgruntled book shop owner Bernard Black and his long-suffering assistant Manny Bianco, played by the equally hilarious Bill Bailey.
Dylan has also popped up in such big-screen fare as Notting Hill and the hilarious zom-com Shaun of the Dead.
This upcoming tour will be Dylan’s first Down Under jaunt in four years so you can be sure he will be looking to make up for lost time.
Catch Dylan Moran at the Civic Theatre on Monday 25 November. Get your tickets here.
