Those chip boffins over at Smiths HQ have done it again.
Not content to serve up the same tired flavours, they’ve been busy testing taste buds with the likes of lamington, and garlic bread chips.
This time around though, they are tripling down on this nation’s love of all things fromage, by putting three of their iconic cheesy chips in the one bag.
Dubbed Mash Ups Cheese, this variety will see Doritos, Twisties and Cheetos cohabitating in the same space for your culinary enjoyment.
“We’re really excited that we can bring some of Australia’s favourite snacks together in Mash Ups, they are a really fun snack to bring to social occasions to share with friends and family.,” PepsiCo Marketing Manager Alessia Taddei said.
According to shopping sleuth site The Grocery Geek, this tempting triumvirate is available at Coles and certain IGAs and indie supermarkets.
While the idea of cramming multiple products into the one packet does have its advantages in this give me convenience or give me death world, one wonders about the state of the nation’s fingers after delving into one of these bags. Trumpian orange springs to mind.
With this chippery coming out with a weird and wonderful creation seemingly every other week one can only wonder what they will come up with next and also why they can’t bring back the criminally underrated underachiever of the chip world – classic tomato.
