Stephanie Yap Abidin
We are excited to be welcoming yet another incredibly talented emerging young artist to the market, Steff Yap Abidin. Steff is a self-taught artist who uses lines and shapes to create motion and to tell a story. Early influences from the Asian calligraphy aesthetic are evident in her brushwork and an admiration of tattoo aesthetic is also reflected in more intricate pieces. In addition to her art pieces, under the brand SAINTX STUDIO Steff will have a series of tote bags with her art screen printed on it. Make sure you find Steff to see all of her unique work!
Desert Sunday Collective
Desert Sunday Collective have been a winning over Newcastle audiences with their amazing ferns, potted succulents, cacti and Andrew and Amanda’s infectious enthusiasm for these green lives. They had massive success at their recent pop-up at The Edwards and we are beyond excited to have them for the first time at Olive Tree.
With Mother’s Day coming up very soon Hell Wench is the perfect place to find those special self care products to make Mum feel special. Emerging designer Danica Moorcroft has a massive success at her first Olive Tree and we are excited to have her back again on May 5th. Danica is inspired by nature and her pieces combine the intricate textures of coral, with simple, classic shapes. Her current practice focuses on big statement pieces, including earrings and necklaces, in silver. Danica currently works from the Gaffa Gallery, a multi leveled Creative Precinct located in the heart of Sydney’s CBD next to Town Hall Station. Danica says she is inspired by working surrounded by a collective of talented jewellers and artists. Her first market at olive Tree was a huge success, make sure you find her at the next!
