The Changing Things

The All Story
Wickham, NSW

Come find yourself in an enchanted world of ghosts and monsters. The Changing Things is an exhibition by Emma Kidd that follows the journey of Saru Kuma, a character who meets a cast of eccentric, supernatural creatures on the path to self-discovery.

Channelling modern day anxieties such as isolation and identity crisis through the beauty and high weirdness of traditional Japanese folklore, The Changing Things explores what happens when a misfit ventures into a place inhabited entirely by other misfits. This story will be told through a suite of paintings, hand-made objects, and a couple of life-size creatures that have broken out of their fictional world.

If you’ve ever felt like a stranger in a strange land, this spellbinding exhibition is for you. The Changing Things opens 5pm, Saturday 13 July and will be on show until 3 August at The All Story, 7 Robert Street, Wickham.
