Slow Food Hunter Valley at the Maitland Show

10:00 am until 8:00 pm

Slow Food Hunter Valley is back at the Maitland Show promoting the bounty of the Hunter with our Watermelon Stall on Saturday, Feb 15 where you can drop by and chill out with a cool watermelon juice, chilled watermelon slices, or a fresh iced tea. Look for us at the Old Bar adjacent to the grandstand. It’s the perfect place to linger a while in the shade with us and enjoy some watermelon perfection!

We are also participating in Schoolies Day on Friday, Feb 14 with a pumpkin based activity for visiting schools, featuring our pumpkin expert, Austin Breiner, talking about the fascinating art of growing the perfect pumpkin. This will be followed by an art workshop based on pumpkins as a still life. There will also be a beautiful display of local produce featuring pumpkins in the Tom Morgan horticultural hall.

Assistance with these events is always greatly appreciated, and if you are available to help out at the watermelon stall on Saturday between 10am and 8pm or at Schoolies day on Friday between 10am and 2pm then please contact us at
