Signora at The Landing is throwing a NYE party with front row seats to harbourside fireworks. The newly refurbished venue offers a brand new extensive summer cocktail and craft beer list and a modern-Italian menu prepared by head chef Paul Thornton. Signora will be bringing in the new year with DJ Timmy Coffey on the decks and two package options for guests to enjoy.

The cool vibes of the Mediterranean will take centre stage for summer as The Landing Bar & Kitchen launches its restaurant in a new direction, Signora at The Landing.

Having undergone a fresh makeover, inclusive of menu and drinks list, Signora at The Landing boasts stunning new interiors and a contemporary Italian menu that focuses on breathing new life in to the classics, celebrating the true spirit of Italian dining where the sharing of and love for food brings together friends and family.

The modern-Italian menu, curated by head chef Paul Thornton, features an inspired selection of small and large share plates that pay homage to local producers and the venue’s unrivalled Newcastle harbour front location. Diners can expect to see fresh takes on Italian classics like kingfish crudo with Sicilian olives and citrus, linguini tossed with baby clams and vitello tonnato with white anchovies, pegged as summer favourites.

The venue has drawn on the expertise of Hunter Valley native, Ollie Margan, who has created a summer focused cocktail selection, championing fresh, local and seasonal offerings. It will include some cracking originals as well as fresh takes on some cool classics, including a gin e tonico menu.

Ollie is managing partner of Adelaide’s bar of the moment Maybe Mae, which recently picked up ‘Cocktail Bar of the Year, SA’ for its third year at the annual Australian Bartender Awards. This year, Ollie also took out the national Beam Suntory Perfect Blend competition and was named in the Drinks World Magazine Top 25 Australian bar influencers.

The Landing owner Lisa Margan said after six years the team felt energised for a new look and direction for the venue. I have Italian heritage and love the value Italians place on sharing good food and booze with family and friends, so this new direction was a logical choice.

‘The Landing has always been a destination for those who love cocktails, so we are building on that with a menu that shines a light on the Italian way of life – a place to share in quality food and drinks by the harbour, with their favourite people.’

Signora at The Landing is open for dinner Wed-Sun (6pm-late) and lunch Thurs-Sun (12-3pm). And because Italians love to graze, there’ll be an all-day menu running Thurs-Sun.
