Speers point Park
Saturday, 23 September 2017

Discover ideas and activities to help you live a more sustainable life, at the Living Smart Festival in Speers Point Park this Saturday, 23 September.

Council’s Manager Sustainability, Alice Howe, said this year’s festival features sustainable workshops and demonstrations, kids’ activities, market stalls, music, entertainment and more.

“We’re thrilled to be delivering another bumper program for this year’s Living Smart Festival,” Dr Howe said.

“Whether you want to be more sustainable at home, create wholesome, ethically-produced meals for your family, revamp your wardrobe with pre-loved pieces, or just enjoy a fun day out with the family, the Living Smart Festival is for you.”

Program highlights include free outdoor yoga, cooking with Paul West from River Cottage Australia, Raid My Wardrobe pop-up, Tiny House display, art installations, the Lake Macquarie Farmers Market, as well as hands-on craft events and eco-workshops throughout the day.

Living Smart Festival is one of Lake Macquarie’s largest community events, attracting more than 20,000 people annually. To find out more about the festival, visit lakemac.com.au/living-smart-festival.
