Porcelain is a Blue Mountains (NSW) based performance artist and dance teacher with a passion for the unusual and the theatrical. Porcelain loves to celebrate and be involved in projects that celebrate women and alternative lifestyles and cultures. Porcelain is an active Domestic Violence prevention and Body Positivity advocate and this is reflected in a large portion of her body of work.
Discovering her love of dance at the young age of three, Porcelain’s first International Dance Titles were received in New York at the age of 11 and she has continued to gain recognition in her dance life and through her choreographic works danced by her students since taking students to local and National dance titles and taking out the title of Miss Pinup International in London in 2013. After this experience Porcelain created the National Pinup Doll Australia event as a platform to encourage body positively and celebrate women in Australia. Porcelain is an internationally published pinup model, cover model and journalist and has extensive experience performing at corporate, burlesque, alternative, gothic and fetish events around Australia.
Porcelain’s aim is to create works and opportunities that give as many people as possible access to the joy, healing power of and creative outlet that is dance. Porcelain has attended classes, workshops/ training with Burlesque stars such as Sheena (AUS), Alyssa Kitt (AUS), Perle Noire (USA), Dirty Martini (USA) and Satan’s Angel (USA) and is a fully qualified dance instructor.
Porcelain is known for her dark high femme aesthetic and authentic performance style and will have your audience at the edge of their seats as she brings them into her world and has them laughing, crying and celebrating with the performers on stage.
After having women attend her Body Positive Workshops and resonate with the sisterhood and safe space provided Porcelain decided to combine her passions for counselling, creating safe female spaces, event management and facilitation experience to create a network and sisterhood of amazing women with many opportunities to engage, grow and learn from each other.
Porcelain ran successful shows with the Porcelain Dolls in Sydney for 6 years, also touring shows throughout Australia. She now runs the 2018 Top Ten Busties Nominated Stone Cold Fox Burlesque Collective in the Blue Mountains, as well as running the Wild Warrior Women Festival and is in the process of opening a new vintage venue “The Sock Hop” in the Blue Mountains which will be a safe and inclusive space where everyone is welcome.
