Sunday, 17 December 2017

On Sunday December 17, Lambton Park will be turned into a Christmas spectacular once again as thousands of locals come together for Christmas Carols in Lambton Park. An army of volunteers from Hunter Bible Church are putting on the event, which includes the Hunter United Credit Union reworks display at the end of the night.

Over the past few years Carols in Lambton Park has grown enormously, with over 6000 people attending last year. A host of stalls and activities are organised to kick-o from 5pm, with jumping castles and rides. There will be a variety of Newcastle food trucks set up as well as some local arts and crafts stalls.

This year, Hunter United Credit Union will be giving away $1000 to one lucky person who’s there on the night.

There’s no entry fee for the event, instead Hunter Bible Church runs the event for the local community to come and enjoy together at no cost. Pete Witt, who will be hosting the event said, “We’re just really excited to serve the community in this way. It’s a special time of year to gather with family and friends, and we think Jesus is worth celebrating. The band and performers look forward to it, and we really hope everyone who comes has a great night.”
