From the organiser...

Girrakool Blues Festival & the Naughty Noodle Fun Haus have come together to present the “Blues at the Fun Haus” Series.

Presenting supper and a sweaty brow blues with the incomparable Tomcat Playground on the Central Coast for one night only! High energy, Swinging style, Traditional blues – think/feel Saturday night Juke joints, back alley gambling haunts and jazz bars.

Drawing influence from the amplified blues of American greats BB King and Little Walter combined with the jumping, swinging riffs of West Coast masters such as T Bone Walker Tomcat Playground consists of some of the Australian east coasts finest blues musicians who are reinvigorating a tradition of music with their own brand of flair. Featuring guitarist PJ O’Brien, Bass player Mike Rix, Drummer Greg Clark and Harmonica player Dan Sullivan in a superteam who has worked with some of Australia’s finest blues acts including The PJ O’Brien band, Alison Penney & the Moneymakers, 19 Twenty and The Jacky Howellers.

Supporting Artist; Woodie McClean has immersed himself in a rich paddock of Soul, Jazz, Blues, Country Rock, Americana and pop which underpins his debut ep “Words in Mind”. A wholesome glimpse into an emerging songwriter with a bittersweet benevolence.

Woodie McClean brings to stage his acoustic guitar and smooth vocals in a homage to soulful artists such as Bill Withers, Marvin Gaye, Donny Hathaway and Allen Stone.

Bringing a collaborative nature to music, Woodie’s rich vocals have featured on former Grizzlee Train frontman, Brandon Dodd’s solo album “What a Way To Die”, and Molly Millington’s 2018 single, “Sinner” – each showcasing the depth and power the unassuming artist further explores in his own craft.

This is supper & show @ the Haus with Café Du Blueza taking over the kitchen – in a New Orleans inspired Gumbo & Jambalay Popup cafe offering 3 supper options: Jambalaya – Gumbo Ya Ya – Gumbo Z’herbes.
